We all know that dogs and man are the greatest human-animal team going, but just how badass this pairing can get is realised to its full potential in the military canines of the Navy Seal. When the SEAL DevGru (Team 6) took down Osama Bin Laden they counted Cairo, a Belgian Malinois war dog, as one of their numbers.

Similar to German Shepherds, the Belgian Malinois are slightly smaller which makes them ideal for jobs like parachuting, and abseiling, out of helicopters and generally being highly trained, incredibly skilled special ops hardasses that you wouldn’t want to meet late at night in your safe house compound in the middle of Pakistan.

There’s something extra comforting knowing these trained canine warriors are out there keeping our enemies at bay—witness below these ever-faithful US agents in action.

Learn more about how these dogs helped captured Bin Laden below.
