In return he doesn’t receive any monetary or material gift, or even praise from other people—what he gets is something truly enriching: the positive emotions experienced when you act selflessly to help those in need. It’s enough to make you weep tears of joy and give your new smartphone away to someone less fortunate….maybe not?
