Detroit, it’s a place famous for a few things, but mostly for producing plenty of automobiles and also that guy who starred in that movie, 8 Mile. And while Mr Marshall Bruce Mathers III and the Motor City have both had to endure their fair share of hardships and upsets, it didn’t stop them from climbing to the very top of their game. In fact, it helped.

Formula 1 comes to a dirt track in Austin, Texas. Can I get a “YEE!!!” can I get “HAA!!!”. Obviously cowboys have to be involved and the car itself isn’t going to come out of this in the greatest shape. But who cares about little things like that when it looks like this much fun.

If you had a chance to choose some poignant words that would act as a label for yourself and your life, what would you choose? It’s not as easy as you might think. It’s almost like writing an epitaph for the life you are still living. Take these people for example, living along the most famous of American highways, Route 66. Random people, random lives, all with one thing in common that connects them all. Life might not seem so diverse, but deep down we are all unique individuals.

When it comes to using the roads, whether that be for crossing, cycling on or driving, no one likes following the rules. Rules are for idiots who like to stay alive, not idiots who like to die on the commute to work. In this video set in NYC it does a pretty good job of highlighting people’s retardedness when it comes to trying to get themselves crushed by an oncoming vehicle or create the perfect conditions for an accident. When it comes to a 3-way, you never really know who’s f#cking you up!

Billing itself as a quick tale of violence is going to peak a few interests, and this short film delivers big on the entertainment front. It’s like Bugs Bunny, Roadrunner & Mad Max all rolled up into a big fat one. So sit back, get yourself some popcorn and then… Ah, it’s all over already. Nevermind you can rewind it and watch it again. And again. And again. But not again.

This would be a road test to end all road tests, saving the world from the devastation wrought by an out of control weather machine. If a car can save the world from the impending apocalypse then that certainly beats being able to take a corner at 60mph. It’s like the mutant motorized bastard offspring of Snake Plissken and Frodo Baggins. Bet it could kick Optimus Prime’s ass as well.

So there I was minding my own outside the British seat of power, when I heard the distant but unmistakable roar of a Formula One motor. No? It can’t be! Holy crap I thought, and turned on my camera and there it was coming to a pit stop right on Parliament Square – The Red Bull F1 car driven by Mark Webber. WTF!? Since when have the streets of London been a race track? This isn’t Monaco. And then like that it was gone.

In the quest to make your driving experience a little bit more ‘WTF!?!’ some bright spark has invented the ultimate in driving aides that will not only get you completely lost, but will leave you needing large amounts of therapy when you finally reach your destination. But on the plus side how could you resist the voice of Prince Voltan telling you to – “D’R'IIIIIIIIIIIIIVVVVVEEEE!”

It’s a collision of the real and the virtual worlds, but before you get too spooked about living unaware inside the matrix, this collision is an awesome piece of 3D-perspective street art by British artist Gavin Nolan. It looks like two street-racing cars crashing through a magistrate’s court (if only) to reveal a trippy rainbow world, a world you probably haven’t seen since you were at that festival last year. It’s a sweet looking piece, the sort that makes me wants to go and see it for real to get a closer inspection.
