Now you have to admit that this looks dead-good, eh? If ever you wanted proof that you can’t keep a good man down (or a dead evil one), here it is. Osombie is an independently-produced, feature-length zombie film, packed with violence, mayhem, guns, blood and discussions about Pokemon. Oh, and zombies. Lots of zombies. We featured the first Bin-Zombie film (Zombinladen – The Axis of Evil Dead) back in September 2011, but this production takes it to a whole new level.

The story follows Dusty, a yoga instructor from Colorado, who is on a desperate rescue mission to save her crazy brother Derek, a conspiracy theorist who is convinced Osama Bin Laden is still alive, despite having been buried at sea. In Afghanistan, Dusty falls in with a team of NATO Special Forces on a secret assignment. Turns out Derek is not so crazy after all, and that Osama has returned from his watery grave and is making an army of zombie terrorists. When the group crashes headlong into the growing zombie apocalypse, Dusty and the troops must find and destroy the root of the zombie insurgency before it infests the rest of the world.

Osombie is packed with desert (Utah, that is) action, cgi explosions, and cgi blood, but the fun factor is looking mighty high. It stars Corey Sevier (The Lost Future, Age of Dragons) and model Eve Mauro. It’s been shot and edited, and the filmmakers are currently seeking a post-production budget on Kickstarter.

From watching this it looks like the new Sherlock Holmes movie is taking tips from the Carry On… films with innuendos coming as thick and fast as the action. Ahem. But this is a movie I’d like to see, it’d be hilarious, but it’s a bit upsetting finding out the mighty Sherlock Holmes is hung like a midget. Not so Lord Black-wood, who seems to have ‘risen’ from the dead.

Unfortunately this tale of the world’s most wanted terrorist rising from his watery grave to reap unholy revenge on the world is not a real trailer but instead is an entry in a French film contest. Which is a crying shame as this would be the greatest b-movie since Sharktopus. Bin Laden is dead-good.

Seen Rise of the Apes yet? It’s pretty good. You’ve not seen an epic ape onslaught unless you’ve seen a chimpanzee leading the charge of a large group of angry apes bearing down on the local constabulary on Golden Gate Bridge. And just to prove that it could all happen, should we find a cure for Alzheimer’s that accelerates apes’ evolution, then chimps playing Playstation will be remembered as the start of it all.

We’ve had the Facebook movie, now there’s a film about a man who doesn’t have a Facebook. It’s a story of love, betrayal, face-to-face interaction. A story that doesn’t want you to “like” on your Facebook page. A story of a man who refuses to have a profile, a man who uses paper and never Googles. It’s the story of a man without a Facebook. Mel Gibson would be proud.

This one should have you hooked from the title alone. And if that doesn’t make you want to torrent the fuck out of this movie right now, how about if you knew it stars Game of Thrones‘ Peter Dinklage, True Blood‘s Ryan Kwanten, Firefly‘s Summer Glau, Treme‘s Steve Zahn, It’s Always Sunny‘s Jimmi Simpson, and Community‘s Danny Pudi — and it’s a horror film that follows a group of live-action roleplayers who “accidentally summon a demon from the underworld.”

A pro-life horror film, it doesn’t get more classy than this. Instead of debating this highly contentious issue in a adult, intelligent and rational manner, a right-wing film studio makes a schlocky, trashy horror movie about it, single-handily lowering the tone of the entire human race and all its history with this shoddy torture porn rip-off that’s just a lowly piece of hackery.

They locked him away. They ruined his legacy. And now, after 20 years he’s about to get his revenge! If only this was the real reason behind those filmic turds that were the prequels then all would be forgiven. And it wouldn’t just be forgiven, but this would change Lucas into the most badass man alive. This is the best idea for a movie ever.

The stirring emotion, the rising crescendo of music to accompany the character’s story arc boiled down to a few concise minutes while revealing just enough but not too much about the film in question. This trailer has it all, it ticks every box that needs to be ticked. All it needs is some overblown praise full of superlatives and hyperbole and then it’s journey as the most formulaic trailer ever made would be complete.

You gotta fight for your right to get Will Ferrell to play you in a movie! It’s 25 years since the Beastie Boys released “Licensed to Ill” giving people an excuse to be unwell and gategrashing your momma’s house for a party. And now they’re making a film about that fateful time, starring so many Hollywood celebs they must be attempting to break some kind of cameo world record.
