Mine Kafon – An Ingenius Minesweeping Device
Now this is ingenuity, a low cost and effective solution for clearing mines using a wind-powered bamboo tumbleweed, which would roll along clearing minefields as it goes. It’s the genius idea of Afghan design graduate Massoun Hassadi and is a finalist in the $200,000 FOCUS FORWARD Filmmaker Competition. If there’s any justice in the world it’ll win and then go on to blow up lots of nasty mines.
