The Mixtape
Mashups are a ubiquitous practice because digital technology makes it all so easy, but how about if you did a 16 track live mashup on a 23 year old Tascam 1†tape machine? You’d be pretty impressed with yourself, wouldn’t you? Ithaca Audio did just that to celebrate 50 years of the cassette tape, that beloved format which meant you could tape songs off the radio when the weekly chart countdown was on.
