The Lives Of Others: 2006 (Full Movie)
The feature film debut of filmmaker Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck is about the monitoring of East Berlin by agents of the Stasi, the GDR’s secret police. Back when there was an East and West Germany the Stasi, the GDR’s secret police, would monitor whoever they wanted to find out if they were being subversive. In this German thriller a Stasi agent is monitoring the cultural scene in East Berlin and starts to feel some warmth and compassion for the people he’s spying on.
