Supposedly, film director David Lynch turned down the opportunity to direct the third Star Wars movie when he was offered it by George Lucas back in the 80s because he had “zero interest“. It’s one of those sad, what-if scenarios that in an alternate universe may’ve played out like this fake trailer from YouTube user C-SPIT.
For the trailer C-SPIT recut scenes from Jedi in the strange uncanny Lynchian style we all know and get freaked out by: weird dissolves, echoing screams and other horrors. It’s a shame it never was, but at least we now have this.
