New Google Glass Ad Aims Straight For Your Heartstrings
What with the backlash against Google Glass, the glassholes and the whole invasion of privacy thing, Google have decided to remind us all why having a semi-permanent camera attached to your eye is a marvellous idea. And what better way to do that than to tug at your heartstrings and show that, rather than just abolishing the age of privacy for good, Glass is there to document the precious moments in life.
Shot entirely on Glass the film was created by alumni and students from the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts. While the narrative is fictional, the film shows the actual journey a young guy (Aneesh Chaganty) took while wearing the device as he travelled from Los Angeles to India (via San Fran and Tokyo) to deliver some expectant news to his (fictional) mom.
