Subway Skating on the New York Underground

real

The New York subway gets used like a skate park in this video as a bunch of skaters run riot on the platforms, on the trains, through ticket barriers, everywhere—nowhere is out of bounds for their skating agility. But most impressive and heart-stopping of all, one skater ollies across an entire set of tracks, missing the opposing platform on one attempt and nearly hitting that deadly third rail and getting fried.

The video is the NYC subway skating section of an upcoming skate film by Colin Read called Tengu: God of Mischief, shot in NYC, San Francisco, Tokyo and Bordeaux. And if you were wondering what those industrial noises are on the video its soundtrack, by Jacob Ireland, is made entirely out of subway sounds.
