The Calvin and Hobbes comic strip may have been stopped many years ago but the legacy of Bill Watterson’s legendary characters lives on. Part of their appeal has been because Watterson has refused to merchandise his characters, meaning we haven’t been oversaturated by them and we can only experience them in the comic panels that Watterson created.
