Tony Hawk Lands his Famous 900 Trick at 48
Age should not be an obstacle to doing what you want—that’s the idea but the reality is often quite different, except when it comes to pro skating legend Tony Hawk. At the age of 48 Hawk recently landed a 900—that’s a two-and-a-half aerial spin—and it was exactly 17 years to the day since he first performed the historic trick.
He commemorated the anniversary of the stunt by doing it all again, and after a few failed attempts he finally did it on an indoor half pipe. Kudos.
