Why The Government Shouldn’t Break WhatsApp
There is currently a debate around whether apps like WhatsApp and iMessage should provide an encryption backdoor to the UK government, allowing them access to secure messages if they need it, so they can target criminals, peadophiles, and terrorists. It hasn’t happened just yet but it’s seems like a fairly resonable idea.
However YouTuber Tom Scott presents the case against in this video, arguing it wouldn’t be a good idea at all.
