Short Film ‘The Realest Real’ Mocks Our Social Media Age
Fashion label Kenzo commissioned this fashion film that is unlike most fashion films—directed by Carrie Brownstein, from Portlandia, it follows a woman called Abby who arrives at a weird place called the Institute of the Real and the Really Real which is like the virtual world of social media transposed to real life. For example, Abby’s followers actually follow her around the institute.
It also makes real other social media terms and behaviors and in doing so raises some interesting questions about out actions in the virtual world.
