If you’ve seen the Korean movie Old-Boy you’ll remember the scene where the protagonist Oh Dae-Su munchies his way through a live octopus. Well, many restaurants in South Korea suggest eating octopus alive so that’s exactly what this woman does, but it doesn’t come without a struggle.

It’s pretty gruesome to watch as the octopus’ tentacles cling on to the girl’s mouth as she fights to get it down. You don’t usually expect to do battle with your lunch, but there you go.

If you were looking for something that was both visually stunning to look at while also being completely freaky and WTF, then you’ll have found it in this experimental animation by Baron Lanteigne. Lanteigne calls it “a piece about our collective effort to archive the human legacy” but you can take it as straight up CGI eye candy if you wish, because it works as that equally well.

Combined with some trippy music it is certainly something that will cause your brain to backflip. At least once.

You’ve no doubt seen the trailer for the new ‘It’ movie based on Stephan King’s novel, well if you thought it was scary it’s now been turned into something even more horrifying. How? Well amazingly by replacing Pennywise the dancing clown with Mike Myers’ portrayal of the Cat from the 2003 film, Dr. Seuss’ The Cat in the Hat.
