This supercut from Red Letter Media shows that movie trailers, especially for blockbusters, are pretty much all the same. Following the same tried and tested formula, the same tropes, especially action movies, they all appear to be describing the exact same movie.

YouTuber Tony D re-edited everyone’s favorite cute robot Wall-E adding in Matt Damon’s voice from The Martian trailer, and it makes sense because both are loners on planets devoid of humans.
