The Modular Body is the work of Dutch filmmaker and artist Floris Kaayk. In the video above we’re shown what looks like skinless fleshy body parts that can be put together in a modular fashion and then starts to move. It’s actually just one of over 50 interconnected videos which make up an online sci-fi storytelling project.

It’s a huge narrative that follows fictional researcher Cornelis Vlasman, a bioengineer who creates a modular lifeform.

In Rocky IV the Italian Stallion takes on Dolph Lundgren’s Ivan Drago, but it’s also a battle at the height of the Cold War between two superpowers—it’s America Vs. USSR and what if it played out for real? That’s the idea behind this College Humor skit which parodies ESPN docu-series 30 for 30.

30 for 30 chronicles the most important moments and people in sports history, and so College Humor do spoof interviews to turn the fight from Rocky IV into the culturally significant (if fictional) fight it so was.

The Dream with Roy and HG was a sports comedy show that was broadcast each night during the Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004 Olympics and was presented by Australian comedy duo Roy and HG. This piece of commentary was from the Sydney 2000 Olympics and features the pair commentating on the gymnastics, making up some hilarious names for the moves.

It’s definitely deep friend comedy gold and makes you wish something like this was going on for Rio.

In what must be the first of its kind and incredibly dangerous, this Russian guy appears to create a gun from the components of a microwave oven, namely the magnetron which produces the microwaves. Making for a highly dangerous and volatile weapon that can really mess up a cell phone and pop a lightbulb almost instantaneously.

Why you’d want to do it, and risk life and limb, is another question entirely.

Most of us would probably look at the 2nd tallest building in the world and feel queasy just staring at it, but these two Russian guys decided to scale this behemoth that stands at over 2000 feet—the building is still under construction but during a break in the Spring Festival holiday construction was halted and that’s when these two seized their opportunity to check out the view from the top. Total madness.

You probably didn’t watch the opening ceremony because they can go on a little bit and are generally a bit dull and you probably had something better to do like stare at a wall—but don’t worry if you feel like you missed out, because you can just watch this abridged version which is only a minute and a half long and features all the campest and best bits but speeded up into a much more digestible format.

In Russia, young people don’t use Instagram to show the world what they’re up to, they scale ridiculous heights to get a crazy viewpoint of a city. It’s surprising Vadim Mahorov and Vitaliy Yakhnenko can manage to haul their giant balls up these dizzying heights to capture the city from places people would normally avoid.

In Russia this is just another typical day at the office. Biting Elbows are a Russian punk band who have created this action-packed POV video full of violence and guns and men in black suits who look like they’ve turned up way to late for the robbery in Reservoir Dogs. It has weapons, it has explosions, it has girls in bikinis. It’s totally full of WIN!

Driving in Russia is an extreme sport to rival base-jumping or shark surfing, and the reason we know this is because everyone in Russia seems to have a camera on their dashboard so they can film all the other crazy drivers for posterity and the amusement of the internet.
