It’s got to be hard to lay into a movie that was so universally adored as The Lego Movie, but you can rely on the Screen Junkies’ Honest Trailers guys to find fault where most of us just found an enjoyable movie. So the sweet-natured centre of The Lego Movie is torn apart as being just a cynical commercial for selling us MOAR Lego.

If you’re a fan of the Goonies (which basically means anyone who has eyes) then just reading the title to this may fill you with uncontrollable rage. But this doesn’t mean it’s a bad movie, just that pretty much like any work of fiction it’s filled with some ridiculous sins—like the prison break in the opening for instance is astonishing for the complete lack of a police presence.
What could be more erotic that Steve Buscemi? Not a great deal and the person who made this trailer mashup of 50 Shades of Grey mixed with clips of Buscemi knows that only too well. And in doing this he’s made a movie that’s infinitely more watchable than the original can ever be.
Who knows how he accomplished it, but these spinning morphing circles by Frédéric V. Faure are enough to send you on a trip to the outer limits of WTFness, and it’s completely drug free too. Writing on Vimeo Faure says it involved “scripting with a lot of ‘for’ loops, arrays, linear interpolations, and sine functions.”
Musician Rob Scallon does something totally metal here, he cuts off eight of the strings from his guitar to play a track with the single remaining one—it’s called “00000″ and is a superb exercise in minimalism as the entire song contains just the one note, played over and over again.
Most of the time, as long as they’re not completely wasted, people on flights are terribly polite to one another, both the staff and the passengers. But what would it be like if everyone was honest about how they feel? Well you’d end up with something like this hilarious video.
Neil Young plus Neil Young can only equal something awesome—and that’s what happens in this clip from ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ where Fallon dressed up as the 60s singer to kick off singing Young’s classic song “Old Man.” Then, halfway into it, the real Neil Young comes on stage and joins Fallon.
