Meet The New Kings of Kong
You might not be aware, but there’s such a things as The Kong Off, an event where Donkey Kong’s best players duke it out to see who can get the highest score. This documentary follows The Kong Off 3 held in Denver, exploring the rivalry between contestants Hank Chien, a 39-year old plastic surgeon who graduated from Harvard, and 22-year old French Canadian meathead, Vincent Lemay—the pair, any many other players, spend four days in a dark arcade fighting for supremacy.
And for those thinking this concept looked familiar for a documentary, check out the original The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters (2007) below, which follows the rivalry between Steve Wiebe and then reigning champion, Billy Mitchell.
