Here it is, the first fail compilation of the year and, as is fitting, it starts with some fireworks going wrong. Then it’s the usual bunch of addictive viewing as people headbutt walls, do the classic skateboard trick: the nustshot, and generally make a mockery of us all. If you thought had a bad January, at least you didn’t feature in this. Roll on February.

NO, they are not 2 webcam wannabes shaking their thang. If you’ve never heard the two words above, then where have you been all week? Both these acts that threaten the freedoms of the online world with their lameness have had bad press this week, thanks in no small part to thousands of websites going dark in protest against them. But if you’re still a little unclear as to what these beasts will do to our internets, this video will help explain it.

If you want to know what homophobic people say, just tune into Fox News or listen to a Republican presidential candidate and you’ll hear some spiteful, ignorant, idiotic bile that passes as informed opinion. It’s just further evidence of just how uneducated some people are and the fact they’re allowed on TV, really doesn’t do the TV shows they’re on much good.

This video was flying around before the Christmas holidays, but in case you were too busy going out and getting trashed, here it is. So sit back, saviour, and fondly remember–as you get teary of eye, wistful of gaze–these internet vids and lol your way through the ups and downs and cats and fails of the year of our lord two thousand and eleven.

It’s the end of the year and so as with everything, it’s time to roll out the best of from an endless variety of categories, and one of those categories is the fail. It’s been a good year for failing, both large and small, from the world’s economies to the Euro to politics and beyond. So here’s to failing.

Surely, somewhere in those doctrines there’s something about turning the other cheek (doesn’t matter where that cheek is on the body) and embracing your fellow man and woman. Maybe that’s Rick’s problem, he wants to embrace men and, so, just like when you really fancy someone at school, you act like you hate them, Rick’s doing that with gays. Basically Rick Perry’s a homosexual. The end.

Were you full of fail this last month? Did you try ever so hard to win but instead ended up losing at life? If you or anyone you know did something ridiculous or injurious this month then you may’ve made it to the fail compilation. If you didn’t then you can smugly watch other people getting pwnd. Monday’s suddenly got a whole lot better.

A group of elite soldiers are attempting to take down some guerilla soldiers in the jungle when they run into some complications. Before they undertake these hazardous missions it’s always important to make sure you both understand the silent hand gestures. Otherwise you could run into problems, as it’s always difficult trying to mime something to someone, doesn’t matter how special your forces are. FAIL!

This video quickly goes from hilarious to creepy in a matter of minutes. Two girls are messing around and having some lulz miming along to the Pussycat Dolls, then all of a sudden we enter pant-staining territory as the back garden starts going all horror movie. Trees start moving, bikes start falling over, something’s out there and I wouldn’t want to go investigate what it is. But fair play to them for not immediately bolting out the front door.

And look what’s turned up later. A ‘part two’ to the spooky goings on. They were right to be freaked out, whatever foul beast was in her garden has left some weird slime slobbered all over the window. Weird!

It’s a battle of two greats, the likes of which the world has rarely seen. After hearing a noise in their garbage can these intrepid couch potatoes haul themselves up and go outside to investigate. But they could never have expected to find what they did… ladies and gentlemen… Ninja Squirrel!
