Filmmaker Dan Toth takes a tour of his local neighborhood, Sunnyside in Queens, New York City—and he does the cardinal sin of filming in portrait, but he’s forgiven because he uses it to create a triptych of images that reference one another.
And it also gives him the ability to create a flow of images on screen at the same time, imitating the way you’re bombarded with different scenes as you walk about an urban environment.
