The Problem with Today’s Action Movies
Everyone loves an action movie, but Chris Stuckmann thinks that they seem to be suffering somewhat these days—and he’s not talking about comic book movies, but pure actioners. So he lists all the things that make action movies a pale imitation of the ones of yore.
The story (or lack of) is high up on the list, as is fast-moving, shaky cameras that leave you dizzy and unable to follow a scene. It really grinds his gears.
