‘Confusion Through Sand’—An Intense Hand-Drawn Animation About a Soldier at War
In this nine-minute narrative the intensity of war and the horrors a soldier faces in conflict is rendered with hand-drawn power as we follow a man and his team when they head to a small village. Much of its power comes from the fact that it uses bits from real life stories to inject into the story.
The filmmakers spent years traveling across the USA speaking with veterans which went to inform development of the story and concept.
