How the 80s Film ‘The Running Man’ Predicted 2017
It was thirty years ago in 1987 that sci-fi movie The Running Man starring Arnold Schwarzenegger came out. And, strangely, it seems to have totally predicted the prevailing climate of 2017. It features a television host giving orders to a police state in the midst of economic collapse. Meanwhile the citizens are way too distracted with entertainment to give a damn.
