Is this sh#t for real, how the hell did they do it? Two Japanese schoolgirls in the city of Atami, start shooting a video of each other on their smartphones and then, before you know it, they’re leaping off rooftops and backflipping like ninjas. Even using smoke bombs and ninja stars as they chase each other.

But this isn’t just your standard way Japanese kids like to relax, it’s an ad filled with crazy stunts that will have you questioning exactly how they managed to do it. CGI, camera trickery or brave stunt people? Probably a mixture of all three.

Not all things from the past are relevant now, but it also means that some things shouldn’t be tampered with. Take for instance the strange (by today’s standards) baroque powdered wigs that people used to wear, you wouldn’t go to the barbers to get one fitted now. They were mainly used to cover baldness due to head lice, not such a problem in the 21st century. But, some things do remain constant and by some things that means: beer. Yes, the beloved alcoholic drink that comes after only tea, coffee and water as Homer Simpson’s and the world’s most favored beverage.

So once you hit upon a good recipe you don’t want to mess with it, you just want to consume it.

And that holds for Bavaria beer, a prestige beer that with a great heritage that has remained in independent ownership since the early 1700s. It’s one thing from that period in history that certainly doesn’t need to change.

The Swinkels family have been brewing Bavaria beer in the small Dutch village of Lieshout, just outside of Eindhoven since 1719. The brewery, run by the seventh generation of Swinkels, stands on the location of the farmhouse where the first generation started brewing almost three hundred years ago.

The company is still 100% family owned. And the beer 100% crisp and enjoyable.

That doesn’t mean you have to don a lice-ridden wig to enjoy it, it just means it has stayed true to its origins for three centuries. And always remember people, beer is good for you.

Light painting is a photographic technique where, well, you paint with light. It generally means waving a light source about while taking pictures with a long exposure. In this visually stunning video that light source just so happens to be a car (a Hyundai 2015 3.8L V6 Genesis) whizzing around a race track, with red LED lights attached to the wheels.

As such, it looks particularly striking and futuristic as it races along, streaming light trails behind it like, yep I’m going to say it, a vehicle from Tron.

It kind of makes you want to put some LEDs on your own car to emulate the cutting edge appeal. Even if that car is a rusting old piece of junk and you never really go above 50mph.

The LEDs on this car aren’t entirely decorative though. They’re placed on the Hyundai Genesis to showcase its HTRAC intelligent power distribution system, which is usually invisible to the human eye.

The LEDs, placed on the wheels, light up as they spin around—the changing light intensity reveals the dynamic driving power distribution. Along with making the car look extra awesome for night driving.

The film ‘HTRAC – Control the Light’ portrays how Hyundai Motor’s HTRAC actively adjusts the driving power distribution on all 4 wheels to achieve optimal balance on any kind of road conditions, including a wet surface, bumpy or curvy roads.

For a dramatic and captivating display of this technology, LED lights were attached on each wheel to capture the changing power distribution between the front and back wheels.

Thanks to HTRAC, you won’t need to negotiate with the road conditions. You own the road.

HTRAC is an intelligent all-wheel drive power management system made by Hyundai, which dynamically distributes power to each wheel in order to optimise traction and safety. It is currently available exclusively on the 2015 3.8L V6 Genesis, shown in this video. HTRAC distributes power according to road surface traction, but also according to drive mode. Two drive modes exist, Normal and Sport. Normal mode distributes power to optimise torque traction, in order to achieve the best traction possible on any given road surface, including extreme snowy conditions. Sport mode is more about fun and performance, allocating all or most of the power to the rear wheels.

Unlike the mechanical four-wheel-drive systems already introduced by countless other brands, HTRAC variably controls the braking power of the left and right wheels. It can change the amount of power allowed when driving on ice or other road conditions, as well as the speed of the car, for a next-generation four-wheel-drive system that delivers stable driving on slippery roads and when cornering.

Sometimes commercials can be awesome in how they convey a message, this is one of those times. Mostly with newborn babies you dress them in a onesie, the all-in-one bodysuit that ensures they’re kept warm and relatively dry but means you can also get access to their diaper quickly when you need to.

This baby has a kind of onesie, but this onesie is the sort of onesie you expect Iron Man to dress his child in. Looking at the woman in the beginning of this video, you’d never guess what she’s about to reveal a few seconds in—Cheri suffers from a skin condition known as vitiligo, but you wouldn’t know it until she begins to wipe away her make up and exposes an uneven skin tone underneath. For her to do this on video is extremely brave.

It’s a video aimed at inspiring others (and promoting the Dermablend brand, of course) and while Cheri admits to using make-up to camouflage her condition, she also says she uses it so she can be herself instead of people being sidetracked by her vitiligo.

As The Dude in The Big Lebowski he put the White Russian cocktail firmly in the minds of film fans the world over, so you’d think Kahlua’s marketing department would jump on the chance to feature Jeff Bridges in an ad. Maybe he didn’t want to, until now. The drinks company have made a short film starring Bridges recounting a strange story to a barmaid, a story that features an actual white Russian cosmonaut.

It’s very well done and while Bridges isn’t dressed in a dressing gown with shades on, he’s definitely channeling The Dude’s vibe.
