Baseball star and MVP Kris Bryant gets totally duped in this entertaining video from Red Bull, which sees Chicago Cubs Hall of Famer Greg Maddux go undercover by donning a wig and beard to pretend he’s a sound guy with a video crew. The crew have come to film Bryant for a training video, or at least that’s the ruse.

What unfolds is Bryant getting pitched some curve balls by Maddux as he struggles to understand why this “sound guy” can pitch so well.

This guy’s mom thought she was being taken to lunch, but instead her son decided to play a prank on her, which involved a cyclist hitting his car and then a police officer promptly showing up to come and arrest him. Meanwhile his mom’s blood pressure is rising and rising as she shouts at the cop.

But, just when you think she’s going to get arrested too, it’s revealed it was all just a prank. Children are a gift.

As prank calls go this one by YouTuber CanadianChestHair is inspired and hilarious. It involves him calling a department store, a department store that he’s never actually worked at, and pretending to call in sick because it’s a really nice day and he wants to spend it outside fishing with his friends instead of stuck indoors working.

The woman he calls fails for it totally, telling him he’ll be disciplined if he doesn’t come in, even though she’s supposed to be his manager. Brilliant.

Big Daws from YouTube channel BigDawsTV takes to the street as his nerd persona Ernie and freestyle raps for strangers. Because of his disarming appearance people obviously think he can’t rap for anything, but then he busts out his rhymes and, well, people are very impressed.

In fact they’re so enthused they even join in and rap some lyrics too.

As part of promotion for a contest for charity Omaze Jason Bourne (aka Matt Damon) phones people up at a shopping mall in Los Angeles and pranks them with pretend spy missions. These poor unsuspecting shoppers suddenly find themselves in the middle of a Bourne-type situation, not knowing whether to play along or cry, probably.

But for Damon and for everyone else watching it’s nothing short of hilarious. This should become a regular TV show.

It was just another average day for the Thunderbirds baseball team at Mesa (Ariz.) Community College except it wasn’t, because head coach Tony Cirelli had conspired to bring in Kris Bryant as a new transfer, just in disguise of course as a guy called Roy Nabryt. So when Roy then began hitting home runs, including one that nearly hits a cell phone tower, the players just stare in awe.

Eventually the prank is revealed but not before Cirelli had had lots of fun.

Alex Duffy, the British radio host from the Alex Duffy at Breakfast morning radio show, totally owned his co-host Emma Louise Jones when he hilariously tricked her into thinking he was listing “top ten worst swear words” while live on air—Jones totally falls for the prank and you can see her freaking out as she can’t believe what Duffy is doing.

As the list goes on Duffy’s swearing gets increasingly more offensive until he reveals the number one word, and Jones has by this point totally lost it.

This is a nasty prank to play on someone, especially someone afraid of spiders, but it’s very funny too. Pretending to their friend that they’re doing an interrogation skit, he agrees to be tied up to a chair and blindfolded, but being the good friends they are, instead they unleash a tarantula on him.

It doesn’t take long for him to freak the hell out, shouting about the spider having bitten him—he’s definitely going to get them back for this.

This is probably the most interesting that C-SPAN has ever been, as a guy called up the Washington Journal program aired on the cable TV station pretending he wanted to talk about Congress and the Iran negotiations, but what he really wanted to do was much more fun and entertaining.

Listen and marvel as he reels off the words we all know so well from the theme song, delivering it as smooth as you like.

Often you see those prank comedians doing their near-the-knuckle videos and you wonder why people are so tolerant—well here’s the other side that usually gets edited out, the side where the people being pranked don’t take too kindly and it ends in violence—mostly a punch to the face.

Whether they actually deserve it, perhaps not, but if you go messing with the wrong people in a big city, it’s not going to end well.
