The internet always goes wild for a new Pogo remix, especially when a popular film’s involved. This new video uses iconic 80s movie (and contender for greatest movie ever made) Back to the Future as its source material to spin a percussion-led homage in collaboration with fellow mashup maestro Skye.
Forget about going to the gym today, they’ll be no need after you shed pounds laughing so hard at this brilliant spoof of EDM from Akiva Schaffer, Andy Samberg, and Jorma Taccone, aka The Lonely Island. Samberg plays DJ Daavinci who teases out the dropping of the bass to the over-eager and loved-up crowd until the point of spontaneous combustion.
With a soundtrack by A$AP Rocky, this great documentary by Luke Monaghan looks at Los Angeles drug lord Fredrick James Staves and his passion—which he spent all his drug money on—lowriding. Known as Baby Gangster, this customized car expert owned some legendary vehicles while running cocaine imports and exports in Compton.
This must’ve taken a long time and some dedication to complete, so props for that. A collection of quotes from various movies are edited together so that everyone from Arnie to Elvis to Bruce Lee to Morpheus joins together to give their unwitting rendition of Lionel Richie’s “Hello”. And what a marvellous performance it is, a thing of rare and treasured beauty the likes of which the world has never seen. Kind of.
You’ll watch this video and, while it’s a warning about the webz, you’ll freeze with the realization there is just so much internet that you haven’t yet seen that you’ll never be able to leave the house again. So let this be a lesson to us all, one day the internet may be gone and you’ll not have watched half the cat videos you wanted to. So quick, go watch more internet right now!
