Welcome to part one of the documentary ‘This Film is Not Yet Rated’, which explores the Motion Picture Association of America’s rating system and the effect it has on American culture. It’s the sort of system that is super-tough on nudity, but isn’t bothered when it comes to extreme violence (which in light of the recent high-school student killing sprees, the Boston Marathon and the related terrorist hunt shootings is kinda strange). The doc looks at the discrepancies and seeks to answer why they exist. Murica’ is a strange place indeed.
