The Homeless Child Experiment: Manipulative or Insightful?

Taking inspiration from the recent ‘Would You Help a Freezing Child?’ social experiment in Norway, Youtuber Yousef Erakat decided to test how kind people in the US are by putting a kid on the street and pretending he’s homeless to see how the public would react. The results are very interesting, it seems like a bit of warmer weather seems to have an effect on the milk of human kindness.

It didn’t quite work out the same as the Norwegian experiment, as people generally ignored the kid and he ended up with only $2.10 worth of handouts.

Below is the original ‘Would You Help A Freezing Child? (Social Experiment)’

It was made to raise awareness of the situation for children in Syria, and to raise funds to SOS Children’s Villages is their winter-campaign.
