One’s digital the other’s an app, so the challenge carries with it the old resentments of the analogue vs. digital debate rising to the surface to fuel the passion on both sides and widen the divide. Or maybe it’s just a bit of fun.

Blade Runner has been a staple of the sci-fi noir aesthetic since its release in 1982. Now, we get a new incarnation of the story that thrusts it into abstraction and psychedelia. Swedish artist Anders Ramsell is recreating the feature film frame by frame using watercolor paintings. So far, he’s completed 12 minutes of the film, which has taken 32,85 aquarelles painted over 11 months of painstaking work.

Because you’ll want to sit back and enjoy this dark animation about a rabbit called Oswald, which’ll suck you in the minute you set eyes on it and then keep you gripped with its twists and turns. This song was SO ripe for the picking when it came making a dirty version of it, so hats off and three big cheers to these guys for doing the deed. Because seriously, after hearing this song everywhere you turn on the internet at the moment, it’s enough to put you off having anything to do with it ever again. EVER.
