Footage from the Titanic Struggle of B-R
An epic battle has been raging in the EVE Online game because of an unpaid bill—above is some footage from what was one of the largest video game space battles ever undertaken, as 4,000 players took part in a giant fight between two of the game’s biggest alliances, the N3 Coalition and CFC causing an estimated $250K’s worth of damage and the loss of over 2900 ships. The battle raged for over 22 hours.
It took place in the system B-R5RB after an alliance in the N3 Coalition missed a bill payment for the system where Pandemic Legion is staging and storing their fleets which meant the sovereignty dropped across the system leaving the station vulnerable.
So the CFC and the Russian Coalition moved in and captured the station, with the subsequent fighting turning nasty and several trillion ISK worth of material lost and around 20 Titan warships destroyed.
