In his post-Oscars show Jimmy Kimmel premiered a series of viral video movie trailers that took some classic YouTube clips and, using the movie industry’s finest, proceeded to give them the Hollywood remake treatment where budgets are big and the acting is award-worthy.

Bitman Begins
First up is Bitman Begins, which sees the peerless “Charlie Bit My Finger” remade with a nod to the Dark Knight and an all-star cast featuring Tom Hanks, Meryl Streep, Chris Hemsworth and Liam Hemsworth.

Ameowadeus
Not coming to a cinema near you soon, Kevin Spacey, Christoph Waltz, Gary Oldman, Ben Kingsley, Abbie Cornish and Mandy Patinkin star in a mashup of Amadeus and viral nuggets “Keyboard Cat” “Hamster on a Piano” and “Dramatic Chipmunk”.

David After Dentist Double Rainbow Oh My God! in 3D
Forget about the awe-inspiring use of 3D in Gravity, that’s got nothing on this amazeballs adaptation of “David After Dentist” and “Double Rainbow” by Baz Luhrmann, starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Samuel L. Jackson, and Seth Rogen.

Sweet Brown: Ain’t Nobody Got Time For That
And finally, a fire in her apartment block nearly destroyed her life, but she ain’t got time for that. Queen Latifah is Sweet Brown in a tale of viral triumph over adversary also starring Barkhad Abdi, Adam Driver and Matt Damon.
