In fact, right now is movie night, so put down that spreadsheet, cancel those back-to-back meetings and spend some time in the company of Bruce Willis in Walter Hill’s Prohibition era set remake of Akira Kurosawa’s Yojimbo—a drifter rolls into town and is caught up between two warring parties—the Irish and Italian mafias—as both sides try to hire him to help them out.
Be afraid! (well, not really….) – This upcoming horror film release has everything you will ever need, it’s got zombies, it’s got beavers, it’s got sexual innuendo and gruesome violence—a group of dumb teens are having fun in a cabin by a lake when out of nowhere, ridiculously fake-looking zombie beavers attack them. Yes! It’s not going to win any Oscars but it hits dizzy new heights of daftness and if you don’t raise a smile as you watch the cliche-ridden trailer, then shame on you and all your family.
Following on the heels of that crowdsourced Star Wars remake, Star Wars Uncut, is a crowdsourced Robocop remake called Our Robocop Remake—which is a much better idea than a stupid Hollywood studio doing a stupid remake. To give you a taste of its awesomeness this is scene 27 from it, it’s the bit from the film where Robocop shoots that street punk in the baby maker. Except in this remake it takes it to hilarious new levels of shooting guys in the crotch. Too much time, lots of hands, maybe? Epic.
This is YouTuber Sir Fedora and before you start with the abuse, he’s only a kid and being a kid he gets really excited about getting one whole like on a video he posted. So to show his appreciation and happiness he posted another vid thanking that one person and doing his own interpretations of Miley Cyrus’ Cannonball and generally being way too excited about it all like kids are. This is a very cruel prank to play on someone, and is outright proof why you should never—ever, ever—get into strangers’ cars. The young guy in this is left with very stained underwear after being the victim of this mafia murder hoax from YouTube prankster Josh Paler Lin—the poor terrified chap thinks he’s witnessed a mafia hit, before the trick is revealed and no doubt leaves him scarred for life.
Nothing inspires a love/hate relationship like YouTube comments, a place to find humor and bile in equal measure, so what better way to show the absurdity of it all than reconstructing some of the flame wars that happen there using two thesps. No one really cares about the Thor movies, do they? Sure it’s got Tom Hiddleston’s Loki in it which is worth the torrenting wait alone, but other than that, the only time any of us want to see Thor is with the other Avengers in the new Avengers movie—but until that comes along in 2015, we’ll just have to make do with these Honest Trailers videos.
