Forget about Batman vs Supes, that’s soooo whatever, it’s all about Superman versus the Hulk as the two heroes take it upon themselves to beat the crap put of one another, with Superman using everything in his superpower armoury to take down that mass of green anger that is Bruce Banner in a very bad mood. Who will win? How many fanboy/girl pants will be soiled? Get ready for awesome!
It was the system that gave us GoldenEye and Mario 64, so it’s long deserved its own music video—and so it gets this, a rap by comedian Brian Firenzi in which he plays his younger self who, long ago in the year 1996, was obsessed with getting an N64 for Christmas and so he did the decent thing and pestered his mother for one. Like really pestered her, N64 style.
From trying to look sexy posing on the beach to asking questions like “Do dogs have brains?” your face will be constantly in your palm as you watch this bunch of failures fail their way through 2013. But it’s not all cringeworthy, there’s also the girl who burnt of her hair with hair curlers to the classic slapstick of someone falling over trying to catch something. All deserving of your undivided attention.
Miley couldn’t resist a new bit of controversy as soon as the new year hit, so here she is with her latest single ‘Smoke The Hotdog’—you’ll be glad to know that her cartoon tongue is hanging out her mouth like a Looney Tunes character, her twerking is, well, twerky, and she’s talking about fighting boyfriends and grabbing girl’s asses.
Imagine it’s the 1980s, imagine there was an OTT kung fu cop comedy that you hadn’t seen but you really, really needed to see—well, it might not be the 80s any more but that doesn’t mean they can’t live on in this movie, which combines all the best and worst and intermediary things from 80s cop movies and brings them into the 21st century alive and well and awesome, in an epic action film that features a kung fu Hitler, time travel, machine-gun wielding vikings, dinosaurs and robotic arcades.
No one wants to know about the achievements that took place over the year, there’s no fun in learning about how somebody else spent the year doing loads of cool stuff like wingsuit flying across Mars while you spent most of the year watching them do that on YouTube.
