This Film Theory Posits the Cars in the Cars Movie Aren’t Actually Cars
The trailers for Pixar’s Cars 3 have been pretty traumatic considering it’s a kids movie, seeming to suggest the death of Lightning McQueen, who’s been the main character for the films so far. And if you thought that idea was harrowing enough then you’ll be even more upset by the idea put forward in this new video from the Film Theorists.
They suggest that it’s not a machine we’ll see die, but instead an actual living creature made of flesh and blood. Because, they say, the cars in Cars aren’t cars at all.
