The penciled textures of the story soon turns into a post-modern edit of pop culture references from TV and films, which become symbols of the teenager’s anxiety.

Footage from The Matrix, Mission Impossible, and Princess Mononoke turn a ride to school into an crazy chase scene, and classmates become the uniformed ranks of the 300 Spartans.

The epic dragon battle scene, called the Loot Train Attack, where Daenerys Targaryen’s dragons took on Jaime Lannister in ‘The Spoils of War’ episode was one of the highlights of season 7 of ‘Game of Thrones’. It was epic and the kind of spectacle that the series does incredibly well.

In British comedian Matt Berry’s sitcom Toast of London Berry plays a struggling actor called Steven Toast. Toast is middle-aged and would love to be starring in a sellout theatre show but instead has to make do with voiceover work. In this clip he has to do the dubbing for a German gay porn film—and the results are predictably hilarious.

The hit Netflix series Narcos saw it’s third season drop, which followed on from the death of Columbian cocaine kingpin and Medellin Cartel leader, Pablo Escobar. With him gone a new group rose to power, the Cali cartel led by the ‘four kings’ Gilberto Rodriguez Orejuela, his brother Miguel Rodriguez Orejuela, Pacho Herrera, and Chepe Santacruz Londono.

The second season of Stranger Thing begins streaming on 27 October 2017, which isn’t too far off considering it’s been teased since around February this year. To celebrate it’s upcoming premiere Netflix have reimagined the first season’s events as though they were part of an 1980s style supernatural horror RPG video game.

It’s nicely done and you wonder if there is an actual Stranger Things video game in the works. If not, there should be.

In a recent episode of Game of Thrones fans got to see Daenerys riding Drogon into battle against the Lannister army, including Jamie Lannister as they were taking their haul from the sacking of Highgarden back to King’s Landing. It was an epic battle with Daenerys’ dragons laying waste to scores of soldiers by turning them to ash.
