Los Angeles filmmaker Brett Weiner’s short film “Verbatim” is a dramatization of transcripts from a real-life case from the Ohio Supreme Court, where a lawyer became embroiled in an absurd argument about the definition of a photocopier. The witness in the deposition decided to argue that he had no idea what the term “photocopying machine” actually means and the resulting exchange occurred.
You don’t need a flashy Hollywood budget to make movies, you just need a mouth and a wardrobe you can raid. Then dress yourself up and make all the pew-pew-pew gun sounds and punching sounds with your mouth. And don’t forget some string, string’s always handy to have……and an old Slinky.
