Lars von Trier trolls controversy itself with this new film of his featuring real sex scenes — it’s gonna be five hours long and will be released as two films with von Trier leaving the softcore theatrical version to be edited by somebody else. Definitely not the sort of film you’d want to watch with your mom and dad in the room, probably not even in the same state, but this trailer gives a taste of the different characters’ stories and how their lives intertwine, quite literally sometimes.
If you’ve taken LSD then you’ll be able to relate to this on some level: man takes acid, goes up in front of a room full of strangers and tells a really shit joke in a really shit way, then has some introversion afterwards. Where he failed was he clearly didn’t drink enough alcohol to boost his confidence levels so he could’ve gone up there and unleashed some type of Bill Hicks monologue of epicness.
