If you step out in the middle of the road without looking both ways, what the hell do you expect? The hit-by-the-bus cliche is alive and well and in constant use in the movies if this supercut is anything to go by. But what’s shocking isn’t the people getting run down by a bus, but some of the people’s reactions to it. They seem far too placid. But then that’s Hollywood for you.
If you were busy trying to have a life instead of watching videos on the internet, then you may’ve missed part one of this series, which featured zombies and machine guns made from keytars. Now, in part two, you get some claymation action that involves violence, burnings, and more violence. Looks like it’s going to be a lovely day after all.
If you saw Skyfall and were bitterly disappointed by all the hype and giant love-in that surrounded it from all quarters, then seeing the Screen Junkies guys take it down a peg or two will no doubt make you feel much better about parting with your hard-earned bandwidth when you illegally torrented it.
If you like your music with lots of scratching and you like your music videos with lots of people taking their tops off, then you’re in luck, because this video has both of those things. It’s got a catchy hook too, so don’t be afraid to up the volume and throw those hands in the air. And, why not, take your top off too. And scratch.
When the world’s best urban snowboarders have some time on their hands, they like nothing better than to show off by doing amazeballz tricks which include insane jumps off to the top of buildings and bridges. But they’re not doing this just for the thrill of nearly dying, they’re all vying for a shot at $50,000 and Winter X gold.
In case you weren’t aware, the Sunday night just gone saw a ton of commercials being shown on TV, and in between these was some stupid football game that does nothing other than get in the way of watching those adverts. But, in case you missed them (because you got stuck down a cave or something) here’s the top ten so you don’t feel like you’ve missed out from your peers.
Some American’s love affair with guns seems like it’ll never be extinguished, no matter how many innocent casualties there are. These crazies are based in Florida and have decided to stockpile firearms — why? Well because they think their government will turn tyrannical and when that happens the only way they’ll be able to defend themselves is by being armed to the teeth.
Although this video has the words “Gangnam”, “Style”, and “PSY” in its title, you’ll be glad to know it doesn’t feature any of the horse dancing or even the song as you’ve grown to know and hate it. Instead it’s a cover version sung accompanied by an acoustic guitar. You won’t be surprised to know that it’s a lot better than the original. And the girl singers are very pleasing on the eye too.
These aren’t the notorious Dead Rabbits from 1850s New York City who were fictionalized in Martin Scorsese’s Gangs of New York, headed up by Liam Neeson who’s swiftly killed by Bill the Butcher. If it was they’re looking really good for their age. But no, instead this is the notorious underground New York hip hop group who aren’t, as far as I’m aware, headed up by Liam Neeson. Although it would be cool if they were.
Nothing beats a kickabout down the local park, jumpers for goal posts and all that. But here “On me ‘ead son!” gets a whole new meaning as these kids show off their ball — and larking about — skills pulling off headshots with great finesse. It takes a lot of practice to get an aim like that and it takes some dedicated friends who don’t mind suffering from headaches.
It’s often lamented that computer-generated techniques have meant the death knell for more traditional forms of animation. But it’s just not so, as John Kahrs shows in this fantastic animation which merges CGI with hand-drawn images. From Disney studios, this Oscar-nominated black and white short captures some of their old magic.
